While a good book or a compelling film is nourishing for the soul,
I believe our consumption-to-creation ratio is a little out of whack.
Most of us consume far more than we put into the world. We scroll and stream and listen and read. Somewhere along the way, actually making something became an afterthought. Or worse, a side-hustle.
Don’t neglect creating just for creativity’s sake. I believe we are all creative beings in one way or another. So sketch, write, cook, bake, craft, or play. Create, whatever that looks like for you.
It’s not just about the output.
It doesn’t have to be for work.
You don’t have to monetize it.
You don’t even have to publish it.
The act of creating itself nourishes you... mind, body, and soul.
