I don’t believe you “find” your purpose

I don’t believe you “find” your purpose. I don’t really think it “finds you” either.

I believe purpose is fashioned. That it’s forged out of your experiences, Carved from your values.

Sure, You are who you are. But you’re changed by your life. The good and bad, The ups and downs, The triumphs and the trauma.

Like Michelangelo seeing the angel in the marble and setting him free, Your purpose is chiseled by the life you’ve lived. It’s been refined and tested. Forged in fire and friction, In every moment that tried to undo you. And all the ones that didn’t.

We worry about always making the right decisions. We panic if we think we’re on the wrong path. But you don’t have to chase your calling.

Your purpose isn’t hiding. Your purpose is what’s in your path today. Be it family or friends. Work or play. The adventure or the mundane. Your purpose is now. Make the most of it.

If you keep doing that over and over, You’ll be just fine.
