Okay, so that’s probably not an exact quote from Brandi. My brain isn’t quite the steel trap it used to be. But, this does get at the essence of one of the many great quotes from our first session of Leadership West Virginia 2025.

This idea has stuck with me all weekend. Yes, because it is profoundly true. But also because it’s just a perfect description of what Leadership West Virginia is.

I’m blown away by the brilliance, thoughtfulness, and sheer quality of humans in our class. Through our first couple of days together, I’ve already laughed, been inspired, and have met a number of just genuinely good people.

It’s clear after hearing from past alumni and experiencing our first session, that Leadership West Virginia truly does create an environment that grows, engages, and mobilizes leaders to move West Virginia forward.

I’ll have more to say about our first sessions. But for now, it’s enough to say that I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of Leadership West Virginia, and I am truly humbled to be amongst my 2025 cohorts.

I can’t wait to see what this year holds…harmless pranks, nicknames, and all! 😜
