Sometimes the road ahead is straight and clear
Sometimes the road ahead is straight and clear. But sometimes it’s winding, has a few potholes, and the fog is settling in.
We rarely have the good fortune of knowing the full journey we have ahead of us. I want Waze level directions and all God typically gives is a “you’ll probably want to take the next right up here.”
Which is probably a good thing. As my friends know, I would get myself lost anyway.
When I look back over both my professional career and personal life, I can see so many people who have helped guide me when I’ve gotten myself turned around. So many people who have walked with me when I felt alone and didn’t know if I was facing the right direction. And so many people who have let me ride shotgun, so I could learn from their journeys.
As the calendar switches to November, it may be cliche to say…But I’m grateful for the journey and all of you who have helped me along the way.
