Support ticket plot twist: We’re helping a client with an issue on their website involving a donation form.

The form wasn’t built by us. It was created and hosted by their fundraising platform. We just embedded it into their website.

After explaining the issue to the platform’s support team, I got this response: “You need to contact your web developer, as the issue is with the form.”

BUUUT… We didn’t build the form. They did.

We’re just the ones embedding it. Which makes them… the web developer they told us to contact.

It made me laugh. And it reminded me how often problems get passed around because no one wants to own them.

Sometimes the fix isn’t in the code. It’s in the accountability.
