There are quite a few things I love about working at Bullseye Total Media. Here are a few of them… 🎯
I’m grateful I get to work with a couple of my closest friends every day. Not only that, our entire team is made up of truly good humans who bring humor and heart (and maybe a little sass…Erica) to everything we do.
No two days are the same. There’s always a new problem to solve, a unique story to tell, and a creative solution to craft.
I also get to work with some remarkable individuals and organizations in our community. From local small businesses to nonprofits, I love learning their stories, understanding their missions, and helping them communicate their passions more effectively.
Today, I had the privilege of visiting Facing Hunger Foodbank during a visit from Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America. Claire’s story is incredibly inspiring, and it was really encouraging to see her passion firsthand. She even took time to chat with Isaac, who was stuck with me at work today.
But what stood out even more was witnessing the hard work of the Facing Hunger team being celebrated. Their impact on our region is immense. Even as they rolled out the red carpet for Claire, trucks were arriving to deliver and pick up food for our neighbors in need. Volunteers snuck in the back while the CEO was giving her speech, and as soon as Claire finished, I watched the warehouse team spring back into action, packing food, moving boxes, and making a difference. The work doesn’t stop for long. There are still hungry neighbors out there who need help.
We are fortunate to work with many other small businesses and nonprofits just like Facing Hunger. They are doers—people committed to positive action despite the narratives and negativity that sometimes plague our little slice of the world. These people work to brighten our communities, care for our neighbors, and change the narratives about ourselves and the place we call home.
It’s easy to get caught up in the struggles our area might face or the negative opinions held by critics. Today was a cool reminder of the staggering impact Facing Hunger Foodbank makes in our community. If you aren’t aware of all they do, I urge you to take a look at their really awesome website. 😉
There are many individuals, teams, small businesses, and organizations around us just like the food bank who spend their blood, sweat, and tears to help make and keep our community the incredible place we call home. Let’s follow their example.
