This is me holding something on a photo shoot yesterday for Bullseye Total Media.

I laughed when it was sent to me. Because I’m pretty sure it was the only semi-productive thing I did. And Jeff only asked me to do it because I’m tall! 😂

Here was my reply to the text: “Yeah, you got to see how I really operate…

• show up late
• make a few jokes and talk nonsense
• randomly hold something for a second for my guy actually doing the work.

It would be funnier if it wasn’t kinda true. 😬

But that’s the weird shift that happens as you grow: You’re still in it. But now you’re not always “in it.”

Some days I’m neck deep in code. Other days I’m fighting through writers block to try to come up with creative campaign ideas. And yes, some days, the best I can offer is… holding something up real high why others do the heavy lifting.

It’s taken me a while to learn that leadership and productivity isn’t about doing everything. It’s about showing up. Being available. And doing whatever needs done.

Sometimes that’s rolling up your sleeves and getting s*** done. Other times it’s deep thinking or offering a little emotional support.

And sometimes just holding something can be the thing that makes everything work.
